The Challenge
Tracking precise labor hours across multiple distributed construction sites is notoriously difficult. A large construction enterprise was struggling with paper-based timesheets and generic time-tracking apps that failed when workers entered zones with poor cellular reception. They needed a highly reliable, incredibly easy-to-use mobile solution for field workers to log daily tasks, combined with an administrative dashboard that would give site managers real-time visibility into exact time spent categorized by specific worksites and project phases.
The Solution
We developed a dedicated, native mobile application designed explicitly for the rugged realities of the construction industry. The app featured large, high-contrast UI elements for easy operation while wearing gloves, and a robust offline-first architecture that securely queued time-punch data locally if network connectivity was lost, syncing automatically in the background once reconnected.
For the management layer, we built a secure web dashboard featuring process automation. The system automatically cross-referenced GPS data with known geofenced worksites to validate check-ins, aggregated labor costs per project, and exported clean data directly to their payroll software, drastically reducing administrative overhead and human error.
